Hands-on Training Seminars

We regularly organize seminars to teach hands-on skills on the use of equipment. In particular, we have regular seminars on software for experimental design, analysis and scientific communication. We specialize on using for these opensource software that are near-clones of proprietary commercial ones.

Curriculum Development for Development

We link up with partners to develop empowering curricula for hands-on teaching of children in the field of science and engineering. Hands-on mastery of scientific and engineering skills is a necessary prerequisite for Africa’s economic take off.

Technology & Knowledge Transfer

We intermediate laboratory equipment for laboratories in Africa. Our goal: foster hands-on training of the next generation of scientists & engineers for Africa’s developmental revolution. In a non-profit venture, we locate donor and acceptor laboratories, coordinate equipment transfer and training.

What our partners say

I am a graduate of electronics from Polytechnic Bandjoun in Cameroon. I sought to do a degree in computer engineering in Finland and came to notice the gap in hands-on training we had while studying in Cameroon. I have come to know InSearch and never cease to recommend them to other people wishing to empower Africa in practice-oriented university education.

Elvis Dingana Tatchu Graduate in Electronics Engineering | Student of Computer Engineering

Insearch has helped propel me into knowing new and resourceful techniques, software, science management and communication skills that have been boosting my research experience. Insearch comprises talented, experienced and dedicated professionals who have been inspiring to me and my peers. As a student, young researcher, or lecturer, Insearch has all it takes to make your research easy and worthwhile.

Our team

About us

We are InSearch, a nonprofit organization supporting African based core centers in science and technology to increase the throughput of hands-on practical training. At the moment, education in these fields are based on lots of theory. Our global aim is to complement the sound theory received by young Africans with solid hands-on practical training. Mastery of science & technology is one of the main tenets for any economic emergence on the African continent. We are a platform for academic and scientific material exchange. We regularly collect and donate lab equipments, partake in curriculum design and build a vibrant network for information exchange and self support.
